Machine List

MkLinux DR3 will run only on PowerPC-based Macintoshes and clones.

For 68k Macintoshes have a look at NetBSD-mac68k or Linux-m68k for Macintosh. For non-Mac PowerPC boxes, including Apple Network Servers, try LinuxPPC.

Notes:

Some of the high-end Power Macintoshes and Workgroup Servers use a PCI-based SCSI adapter to access Fast-Wide or Ultra-Wide SCSI devices. At this time, MkLinux cannot access SCSI devices attached via PCI adapters. In order to use MkLinux DR3 on these machines, you will need to attach a separate SCSI disk to the Macintosh's onboard or external SCSI connector.

Most CPU-Updates are supported. There are still some problems with Sonnet Nubus-CPU Cards. It is not known whether processor upgrades in the Level 2 cache slot on various PCI machines will work or not.
